Agreement to these terms
By using PhotoScanRestore, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of PhotoScanRestore, including photoscanrestore.com, related subdomains, and any PhotoScanRestore mobile applications or features.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the service. You must be at least 18, or have parental or guardian consent and supervision if you are under 18.
What PhotoScanRestore provides
The service helps you restore, organise, privately share, and export family photos.
- Photo upload from web and supported mobile app surfaces.
- AI-assisted restoration, enhancement, colour correction, and cleanup.
- Albums, private sharing links, story details, and downloads.
- Account, billing, support, and data export tools.
Restoration results depend on the source photo, capture quality, damage, lighting, and provider behaviour. We work to produce high-quality results, but we do not guarantee a specific visual outcome.
Accounts and acceptable use
Keep your account secure and use the service for personal, lawful photo restoration.
You are responsible for your account credentials and all activity under your account. Contact support@photoscanrestore.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
You must not:
- Use the service for unlawful, harmful, abusive, fraudulent, or offensive purposes.
- Upload malware, viruses, or content you do not have permission to use.
- Scrape, resell, automate, overload, or commercially exploit the service without written permission.
- Attempt to access other users' accounts, photos, systems, or private links.
- Use service outputs to train external AI or machine learning models.
Your photos and content
You keep ownership of your photos. We only use them to run and secure the service for you.
"Your Content" means photos, scans, images, captions, dates, notes, voice memories, metadata, and anything else you upload or save through PhotoScanRestore.
You retain ownership of Your Content. By uploading it, you give us a limited licence to host, store, process, reproduce, display, generate previews, restore, export, and share it only as needed to operate, secure, maintain, and support the service for you.
You confirm you have the rights and permissions needed to upload and use Your Content, and that it does not violate the law or another person's rights. This includes photos that show other people, relatives, children, homes, documents, or private family information.
Plans, payments, and restore allowances
Paid plans include capped premium restore allowances. We do not sell unlimited AI restores.

Current prices are shown at checkout. Web and mobile purchases may be processed by third-party payment, app-store, and subscription-management providers. Their billing, cancellation, and refund rules may also apply.
"Unlimited" wording, where used, applies only to access, scanning, albums, organisation, or sharing within normal use. It does not mean unlimited premium AI restore processing or permanent storage.
Cloud workspace and retention
Cloud storage is a working area while your plan is active, with a 90-day export grace period after expiry.
PhotoScanRestore is not a permanent archival storage provider. You are responsible for keeping your own backup copies of photos you want to preserve permanently.

After the applicable grace period, we may permanently delete cloud-stored photos and related files from your account. Downloads you already exported to your own device or storage are yours to keep.
Refunds and cancellations
Web purchases have a 7-day refund window. Cancelling auto-renewal does not end paid access immediately.
For web purchases, you may request a full refund within 7 days by contacting support@photoscanrestore.com. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method and usually appear within 5-10 business days.
For subscriptions, cancelling auto-renewal stops future billing but does not immediately end access. You keep paid access until the current subscription period expires. The 90-day cloud export grace period starts after the entitlement has actually expired.
App-store refunds, cancellations, and billing questions may need to be handled through the relevant app-store provider.
Fair use and service protection
We use limits to protect photo quality, queue health, storage, and provider costs.
- We may apply file-size, format, restore-queue, retry, duplicate-upload, sharing, and bandwidth limits.
- We may block automated, abusive, fraudulent, or commercial bulk use.
- Failed restores should not consume credits where we can reliably detect the failure.
- Very large archives or unusual usage may require a future add-on, custom arrangement, or support review.
Warranties and liability
The service is provided as-is, and you should keep your own backups of important photos.
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, perfect restoration results, permanent storage, or error-free operation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PhotoScanRestore is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, goodwill, or opportunities.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Third-party services
Hosting, payments, restoration, email, analytics, and app-store services have their own terms.
The service may use cloud hosting, storage, authentication, payment, subscription-management, app-store, email delivery, analytics, error-monitoring, fraud-prevention, support, and AI/photo restoration providers. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Where AI/photo restoration providers process an uploaded photo, they do so to complete the restoration or enhancement you request.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend accounts that violate these terms, create legal risk, or harm the service.
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created legal risk, used the service abusively, or harmed users, us, or third parties.
Sections about ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and general legal terms survive termination.
General legal terms
These terms are governed by England and Wales unless mandatory local law says otherwise.
These Terms and any dispute or claim are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction unless mandatory law in your country of residence requires otherwise.
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, or sale of assets.
