This page is written in plain English so you can understand what happens to your account, photos, payments, and cloud workspace before you upload family memories.
Before you delete your account
Export anything you want to keep and cancel an active subscription separately.
- Download or export any photos, restores, voice memories, or other account content you want to keep. Account deletion cannot be undone.
- Cancel an active Google Play, Apple App Store, or web (Stripe) subscription through the service where you bought it. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a store subscription.
- Removing the app from your phone does not delete your account or cloud data.
Delete your account yourself
Use the signed-in deletion control in the Android or iPhone app, or on the website.
- Android or iPhone app: open your profile, choose Delete Account, tick the confirmation box, and confirm.
- Website: sign in at photoscanrestore.com, then open Settings → Danger zone → Delete account.
- Deletion is permanent. When it finishes, you are signed out and the account can no longer be used.
Request deletion without the app
Email support from the address linked to your account if you cannot use the in-app control.
Email support@photoscanrestore.com with the subject Delete my PhotoScanRestore account. Tell us the email address used for the account and that you want the account and associated data permanently deleted.
We may ask you to verify that you control the account before we process the request. Never send your password, full payment-card details, or private photos to prove ownership.
What account deletion removes
The account and product content associated with it are permanently removed from the active service.
- Your sign-in account, profile, and account preferences.
- Uploaded photos, saved scans, and restored outputs.
- Albums, captions, stories, dates, places, back-of-photo notes, and voice memories and transcripts.
- Face-tagging data, private share links, and other product content tied to the account.
What may be retained for a limited time
Some records may remain where the law, security, or the technical deletion process requires it.
Payment, tax, fraud-prevention, security, and support records may be kept where required by law or needed to resolve a dispute. Restricted backup copies may remain for a limited period and are normally removed within 90 days where technically possible.
Account deletion cannot remove copies you previously downloaded or content another person saved outside PhotoScanRestore.
Photos restored through the public web demo before you created an account are handled separately because they are not attached to your signed-in library. Email support if you want us to locate and remove a public-demo restore too.
