Overview
PhotoScanRestore restores and organises family photos. We do not sell your photos or use them for ad profiling.
PhotoScanRestore ("we", "us", "our") provides photo upload, restoration, organisation, export, and private sharing tools through our website, related subdomains, and mobile applications.
For UK data protection purposes, PhotoScanRestore is the data controller. If you have privacy questions, contact support@photoscanrestore.com.
Information we collect
We collect account details, uploaded photos, payment metadata, support messages, and limited technical data.

We do not use uploaded photos for facial recognition, identity verification, biometric identification, targeted advertising, or ad profiling. We do not sell your personal information.
How we use information
We use data to run the product, process restores, manage billing, support users, and keep the service secure.
- Provide upload, restoration, albums, sharing, download, and export features.
- Authenticate accounts and prevent fraud or abuse.
- Process payments, refunds, receipts, and billing support.
- Send service messages, account updates, and support replies.
- Monitor reliability, diagnose bugs, improve quality, and secure the service.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Photo processing providers
Photos may be processed by trusted infrastructure and restoration providers only to deliver the restore you request.
When you upload a photo for restoration, we process it on our systems and/or with trusted service providers. These may include cloud hosting and storage providers, authentication providers, payment and subscription providers, email/support providers, analytics and error-monitoring tools, fraud-prevention tools, and specialist AI/photo restoration providers.
These providers are used for defined service purposes such as hosting, storage, authentication, restoration, billing, email delivery, analytics, reliability monitoring, fraud prevention, and support. They are not allowed to use your photos for their own advertising or ad profiling.
PhotoScanRestore does not use uploaded photos or restored outputs to train our own AI models. Where we use AI/photo restoration providers, they process photos to complete the restoration or enhancement you request.
Storage and retention
Cloud storage is an active workspace, not permanent backup. Expired paid plans get a 90-day export window.
PhotoScanRestore is a restore, organise, and export workspace. It is not intended to replace your own permanent backup. We recommend exporting important photos to your device, iCloud, Google Drive, Dropbox, external drive, or another long-term storage provider.

Payment, tax, fraud-prevention, security, and support records may be kept for longer where required by law or needed to resolve disputes.
International processing
Some providers may process data outside your country with appropriate safeguards where required.
Some of our service providers may process personal data in countries outside the UK or the country where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as adequacy regulations, standard contractual clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or equivalent protections.
Your privacy rights
You can request access, correction, export, deletion, or restriction where the law gives you those rights.

Children, security, and changes
The service is not directed to children under 13, and no internet service can be made perfectly secure.
PhotoScanRestore is not directed to children under 13. If we learn we collected personal information from a child under 13 without valid consent, we will delete it promptly.
You are responsible for making sure you have the right to upload, restore, share, or invite others to view photos, including photos that contain other people or children.
We use HTTPS, access controls, private storage buckets, monitoring, and least-privilege permissions. No internet service is perfectly secure, so you should keep your own backup copies of important photos.
We may update this Privacy Policy as the product, law, or operations change. Material updates will be posted here and, where appropriate, notified by email or in-product messaging.
